Arguably it’s not where you’re born but if you’re a citizen at birth. Remember, Ted Cruz was born in Canada and ran in the 2016 GOP Primary. Had he won I very much doubt the courts would have blocked him, even though Trump cast doubt on his eligibility. This is one of the many reasons I want Tammy Duckworth to run in 2020, to settle this issue once and for all. Also because I think she’d be an incredibly compelling candidate.
