Aside from the physical location of your coordinates, what do you think is preventing this from becoming violent, or something what we saw with the Rodney King verdict?

Truth is, there just isn’t much interest in the Middle East among impoverished inner-city Americans — despite attempts by communist groups to link the “struggle” of the “oppressed” here with the “oppressed in Palestine.” If there are to be new Rodney King-style riots, it will be about yet another domestic incident — which is exactly what happened with the Oscar Grant shooting in BART; last week, there was indeed a riot in Oakland about it, but (to my surprise) the riots did not escalate the following night…mainly because the Oakland Police clamped down and wouldn’t let it spread. And for that, I give them major kudos.
