I’m all about critical thinking, and having your own beliefs and arguments, but damn. At least have some information and facts on your side. I’m sure I’ll end up teaching his child in a couple of years and have to have this conversation again.

This is intellectually egalitarian America, where anybody’s opinion is as valid as anyone else’s…but that criterion does not apply to the facts.

Howard Zinn’s People’ History is awesome; I do not agree with all of his conclusions, but we do need a more balanced look at how America came to be where it is today.
