doesnt matter who “signed off” - as if that makes something legal that otherwise isnt
- at most it’s an opinion about strategy and tactics of how much and how hard you’ll have to fight if audited
(remember not being audited doesnt mean it was right, legal or, allowed - just that you didnt get caught)

doesnt matter who signed the return as paid preparer - just makes them complicit and subject to all kinds of penalties themselves (depends on years and specific rules for those years)
