If the Senate won’t do shit, why bother with Impeachment proceedings?
Besides the argument that investigating the Executive branch is the clear duty of Congress, the idea that the rule of law is a central tenet to society is a hill on which to die, I propose.
Now I do think that impeachment hearings need to be laid out very strategically. First there should be investigations in general, without explicit design to craft impeachment articles. And that is what I think is happening with a couple of House committees.
