No, not at all what is being said. Try this: the restaurant that DOES have the best food ever should be able to compete and find enough customers to stay in business.

NPR would succeed competitively without the small amount of government funding they receive.

However, the drive to lift that funding is pretty obviously partisan, if not revenge-driven. Nu, what else is new in Washington?
