Agreed. I would just point out that the skill level people want from the police in a spot like that would require essentially full time training, to the exclusion of so much else as to be untenable. 20 hours a week live fire practice. Then you need cops that have had real gunfights before. Even SWAT guys would be very hard pressed.
Short of that you are not going to have police that can consistently move, draw a handgun, and single shot “snipe” a man shooting at them. In a crowd. Surrounded by smooth concrete surfaces. Sometimes we have unrealistic expectations.
Well there is some question as to whether there was a “gunfight” at all.
