Perhaps I’m missing things by not watching the news right now, but does it seem like the wingnuts are hoping that these Iranian protests grant them a mulligan on 2009. That “this time,” Trump will intervene on the side of the protestors, the Mullahs will be brought down, and Iran will return to being our bit…er, our “ally.”

The only hope of these protests succeeding will be if the US Stays. The. Hell. Out. Of. It.
