Trump is demanding India remove tariffs it put on certain US goods after Trump withdrew preferential trade treatment for India.

One day after both sides were playing this down, and Trump was scheduled to meet with PM Modi on the sidelines, Trump attacked India’s retaliatory tariffs as “unacceptable.”

He also accused many of the leaders’ countries of “taking advantage of the USA, but not anymore.”

Yes, his petulance at India first appeared on Twitter. It contradicted a joint statement from India’s Minister of External Affairs and Sec’y of State Mike Pompeo on Wednesday.

The Tariff toddler wants tariffs for us but then throws a fit when other countries respond in kind. There doesn’t seem to be a country he hasn’t gone out of his way to piss off.
