Texas is far more important to the GOP: If they lose TX, they’re done for the foreseeable future.

I’m sure the GOP is aware of that as well, and they’re probably not happy with having to spend money in what was their largest safe state to retain it.

That said, they never spent much money here either. I imagine this state wouldn’t be an easy pickup for the Democrats, and they might not want to invest limited resources here to do it, but flipping our five electoral votes and ousting Sasse would certainly sting the GOP.

It wasn’t long ago we had a Democratic senator. Unlike Wyoming up the road, the Nebraska Democratic Party is not a dead letter.
