His energised base didn’t help much in 2018.

Meanwhile, living in a town where everyone but eight people voted for Trump, I see a lot of people who are disillusioned by the supposed promise of economic revival by Trump.

The latest state polling is in for Morning Consult regarding President Trump’s popularity by state.

The interesting thing about the map (red is underwater, blue is supporting) is the High Plains states are sliding more.

My state (Nebr.) has slipped further: Trump is now at -2 (down from +23 in Jan 17). We are definitely in swing state territory (hey Dems, you want five electoral votes? How about campaigning here).

ND and SD are at +1 (also putting them in swing territory).

TX is +2 (also swing territory, and the death knell for the GOP if it falls to the Dems in 2020). Only Oklahoma is outside swing territory (+11).

Not surprised about Oklahoma.

100 years ago the state with the most radical Socialist Party was Oklahoma. But add in 100 years of Right Wing Xtianity and POOF!
