Did you honestly ever believe Newt to be anything other than a craven demagogue? Really?

Please, don’t do the “did you really think thus and such?”.

I did expect Newt to think with his head, not his “feelings”. What he’s doing now (and Bolton) is exactly what so many conservative think about how liberals come to their conclusions.

As far as Newt’s character - it takes a huge ego to be a politician, and they all deal with it differently, but that particular personality trait means most of ‘em will be self-serving.
