Russian oligarchs (and oligarchs from elsewhere also, I think) used the US weaknesses of rampant racism and sexism against the US in order to get their stooge elected. The Republican Party provided good soil for the oligarchs to work in. It only needed to be fertilized with a few billion dollars. Cheap!
