I can appreciate your position. To me, allowing kids to leave the room to go pray (for short periods of time) is no different than letting kids with anxiety disorders have some quiet time, or kids who are on a sports team take off early.

I am a lot more concerned about religious things being taught in science class. I would NOT be okay with kids being excused during class because they had to hear something that was offensive to their religion.
