1. Chavez supports FARC which is a terrorist organization.
2. If Chavez buys or creates WMD’s he will be more than just a threat to our allies in Central and South America.
3. Chavez seeks to spread socialism/communism.

I could go on, but the point is that Chavez is a destablizing force for the entire region and a major threat to democracy and free trade. If you think his actions won’t affect us then you are naive.
