I know VB has posted this meme before but there’s a really stupid one where it’s like 1912: no income tax and people still went to college. Ignores in those days that college was for the very few. None of my great grandparents graduated college and hell only one of my grandparents did. The country that invests in her people is a country that succeeds. Yes, ultimately some things ought to be private and should remain that way but healthy government intervention is essential to the difference between a successful nation state than an oligarchy full of very rich and very poor.
