There is this (possibly was) this show on ESPN called “Around the Horn.” They had four sports writers via satellite discussing stuff. The show wasn’t that good, but it had one great idea: The moderator had a mute button that would cut someone’s mic off for 10 seconds if they were interrupting others or saying ludicrous things.

I wish some of these news shows would try that out. It’s a good way to keep order. If you just put a couple of partisans in the same discussion, 90 percent of the time it descends into useless chaos.
