Just got back from shopping and saw this.

Today there are printers that can produce a graphic on a tee-shirt that looks just like screen printing, but with a finer line screen/dot pattern. And they can lay down a white background on a dark shirt and print up to 6 colors on top of it. And the ink/powder gets heat set and lasts as long as good old screen ink/dye. No screen charge and they can produce low numbers, even one if needed.

I know a local guy that prints many tee shirts and went with him when he was looking at the printer. Not cheap, but for what it does…wow!

I’ve always assumed this is how places like cafepress (It’s like a print-on-demand site where shitty Milwaukee indie bands got their merch back in the day. Are they still a thing?) did what they did.
