re: #452 Obdicut

If you were able to remove your feelings from your argument you’ll see it’s exactly the same issue. Should the Park51 take peoples feelings into consideration when choosing their site and should the fla preacher take peoples feelings into consideration before burning the korans. They both have 1st amendment rights and they both have a vocal opposition from people with deeply held beliefs. On the one issue you believe people should ignore the feelings of others and you hold an opposite opinion on the other, both based on your feelings of the issues.

If you believe that the Park51 project has a 1st amendment right to build and should do so regardless of hurting peoples feelings then how can you say the fla preacher should not exercise his 1st amendment right out of fear that he’ll hurt peoples feelings? I’m just asking for a little consistency.
