Gerald Ford gets no respect.

I thought it was the right thing to do at the time, but with hindsight I think Ford’s pardon of Nixon was a very serious mistake. That’s one of the few opportunities in the last 50 years for the GOP to clean up its act, and this opportunity was not taken.
