I hope we can generally agree the track the Republican party runs has gotten more extreme over the years. Just pull up the winning party platform for each year a Republican won the highest office. You can see the changes from an NRA that was once fine with registering guns and the NFA, to a pro Union plank in Eisenhowers day. It’s a long road that may have been pointed in the wrong direction but most unfortunately has narrowed to billionaire white men only.

I opine that is a large enough shift to point at some where and say, yes, that’s where they went too far. Legit.
