This just doesn’t compute for me. If the protests did not increase the spread of covid then what is the reason for limiting any outdoor activity? Why would it spread more effectively on a beach for instance?

I don’t think that going to the beach is all that dangerous. For instance, this risk estimator puts it at a 5 on a 1-9 scale.
