About fifteen years ago, when we could really not afford it, we lost some money on an investment that my uncle assured me could not lose… was connected to a Congressman ( shoulda been our first clue/) but it was a bio technology that soaked up oil spills using microbes. ’ The Bugs’, we called it. It was based in Houston. The stock went way up, and then, when it was too late to sell it, the whole firm went bellyup. It still seems like it was a viable option…. I wonder what ever happened to the scientists who were working on it?
