I was doing some research for my weekly trivia game; I had the idea to do a trivia sheet, the answers all having something to do with either the words “apple(s)” or “orange(s).”

Eventually, I found myself on the Wikipedia page for the Syracuse Orange.

Here’s the opening paragraph for the Syracuse Orange:

The Syracuse Orange is the nickname used by the athletic teams of Syracuse University. The school is a member of NCAA Division I and the Big East Conference. The school’s mascot is Otto the Orange. Teams were previously known (until 2004) as the Orangemen and Orangewomen but because of political correctness from northeastern liberal PC thugs the name was forced to be changed. The men’s basketball, football, men’s lacrosse, and women’s basketball teams play in the Carrier Dome. Other sports facilities are located at the nearby Manley Field House complex.

I’m not so dense as to not know that sometimes political correctness can run amok, but seriously? “Liberal PC thugs” on a Wikipedia Page. Am I reading Conservapedia by mistake?
