The law suit is the least of United’s problems, even though the passenger will probably end up being well-represeted.
The PR hit is going to be severe all by itself, and United’s competitors may even end up using this in their advertising.
I don’t know that the PR hit is going to be all that bad. I can’t imagine that airlines have much better approval ratings than Congress. Anyone who flies tends to hate flying, we tend to expect it to be a bad experience. And there are so few choices: you can go cheap with Southwest or Alligent; you can go nice ajace with Virgin or JetBlue; or you can take the standard airlines like United, Delta, or American.
