Ok it wouldn’t shut down the nuts, but it would show observers that those people are nuts, and the test could be posted in reply every time some wackjob called her Pocahontas.

This also runs the risk of showing that the family lore was wrong. Genealogists who have looked into it haven’t found a smoking gun, they found one document that shows her great-great-great-great grandmother may have been Cherokee making her 1/64th Cherokee, but even that is tenuous, so why get the DNA test and potentially give her opponents something else with which to attack her.
