Not everybody did-there are wide swaths of America that bought into the Apprentice persona. And the NYC press who could have enlightened them were too busy bashing Hillary and sucking off Donald to tell them in detail, especially in time to absorb the information about how creepy he was. I have no doubt that NBC was also putting weight on the scales as well.
