Check out our idiotic and undemocratic first-past-the-post system, where it’s essentially 124 mini-elections for seats in the provincial parliaments. Even though the social-democratic party is tied or leading the mini-trumps in the polls, thanks to the mini-trump’s better distribution of ridings (our version of districts), mini-trump could win an outright majority government with only 36% of the popular vote. This is the equivalent of owning both houses of congress for a guaranteed four years!
