….. The IRS hasn’t sent me my refund even though they got my return 12 weeks ago. And we are teetering on having the worst wingnut in the history of CA possibly becoming Governor in the middle of all of this because the GOP can only win by gaming the stupid recall provisions and they want to make California the hellscape they always claim it to be and kill us all.

I don’t know how we (not just me or my family, but the whole state) are going to get through the next 3 or 4 months.

Meanwhile everyone I know is making plans to go to concerts and conventions later this year like nothings wrong.

Am I the one that’s crazy? This has to be at least in the ball park of what gaslighting feels like.

My return was filed March 9th and my refund arrived June 30; so 16 weeks before it showed up in my checking account. A few weeks earlier, a friend also mentioned that her refund hadn’t yet arrived. Especially given that they extended the filing date by one month, there may be several problems in processing returns on a timely basis. The refund was increased by a modest amount to reflect the delay in distribution.
