That’s just it, they forever engage in the fantasy that either the government’s about to start kicking down doors or civilization is about to collapse, and they’ll need all those guns to fight off the barbarian hordes. They like the first scenario more, because they can imagine that it’s liberals that they’ll be fighting a “revolution” against.

and I can about guarantee you they’d be scared shitless after living in Tel Aviv for a few days.
