I must have missed a memo, because I didn’t know there was a “desired narrative.”

I want a narrative about a young woman who seeks revenge on her father’s murderer, and navigates the sometimes harrowing adult world in order to use her considerable powers of oratory to shame, spur, convince, and inspire others into helping her achieve that goal.

Oh wait, that’s True Grit, and it was awesome.
