Republicans have no interest in investigating ties between Russia and the Trump campaign.

Mr. Burr dismissed calls for a new committee that would be able to probe possible contacts between Russians and Mr. Trump’s campaign because, he said, no one has been able to corroborate information in a dossier that said Russian government operatives had engaged in an extensive conspiracy with advisers to the president-elect’s campaign.
“The only accusations that there were contacts were in a document that the media has had for over three months,” Mr. Burr said. “If you believe that that document is important, then prove it. Until there’s proof out there that there was contact, this is speculation.”
