re: #435 Dark_Falcon

Fair point, Walter. But you’re not someone who seems to be early-stage ODS. The Other Les seemed to be trending that way upthread. I was thinking about how we can best help him. Friends don’t let friends flounce. They try to help, though it sometimes doesn’t work.

And I’m thinking about this. And this is not meant to be “tacky” or anything, but, in the final reel, what does it matter? This is a great community here, but really, does “winning” an argument, or making a point that everyone agrees with, does it really matter.

We are a bunch of virtual bits and bytes running through copper lines from here to there. We are not changing the world. We may be trying to change our immediate world, what we perceive are the outer edges of what we experience on a daily basis, but that is NOTHING on the scale of the real world.

This is fun, this is a good mind fuck, it can be entertaining, but some commenters seem to be consumed with the facade of all this, and how they fit into that picture.

If this were all gone tomorrow, it wouldn’t matter, it shouldn’t matter, does your life stop if Charles bans you? Will you stop breathing if you “flounce?”

I’m comfortable with saying what I have to say, make my point, and I feel no overriding desire to make anyone love me or hate me.

Up dings are a momentary “feel good” moment and thanks all around, down dings are opinions, not life changing moments…

For those who have to fly off into a drama queen, basement wall bouncing fit, complete with sparks flying and drool dripping, I only question, how do you make it through a day?

Get a grip, this is fun, but it shouldn’t rule your life.
