Everyone’s homeland means something different to them than another piece of land. Is that a hard concept to grasp? Why are the Jews different than the French, the Italians, the Germans, the Jordanians, anyone?

I don’t think anyone disagrees with this. The point was that there can be people who are not Jewish but who think of Israel as “home”.

A lot of the disagreements seem to stem from the mixing of terms “Israeli” and “Jewish” (not helped by the fact that “Israel” is also used to stand for the Jewish people).
