The articles of impeachment for Clinton didn’t come down until the December after the ‘98 midterms, so I figure that’ll be the earliest we see them actually try it. As for what charges they’ll bring, who knows. But I figure most of it will boil down to the failure of their plan since he was elected of being as obstructionist as possible in the hopes that he’d be forced to give them some of the things they wanted in order to get anything accomplished.

Here’s the catch: if they do initiate proceedings, everybody from Orly Taitz to Joe the Plumber will be chiming in and demanding to be heard, it will turn into a shameful display of ignorance and bigotry that will galvanize their shrinking base and put off everybody else.
