My wife’s car got totaled, it was an insurance total, but as it was old the repairs would have been greater than 80% of value. Took me about 3 hours in the garage to fix it. The scrap value of the car was deducted from the settlement check.

It took me 9 months to get the check. The Insurance company played also sorts of games, but since the car was fine I decided to wait them out.

Obviously with a roof repair might not be an option. I Ken can, repair it on his own hook, then go after them for the actual amount.
