Somebody at the WH knew about this, there is no way the White House is not aware of the location of the planes making up the “Air Force 1/2 Fleet.” Decisions and actions (and inaction) have consequences. It would be nice if the Obama White House could come to grips with this basic fundamental truth.

Re Sen. Specter’s abandonment of the GOP, there has to be a serious cookie for him to switch parties this late in his career (like maybe a clear path to the Democratic nomination or promise of an ambassadorship if he loses?). This is essentially the problem with the political class, they have no loyalty nor honor.
