Not surprising, but really it’s just probabilities we’re talking about here.

For example, if I make the statement: A man who attended a Lakers game last week died this morning.

Now of course thousands of people go to those games. Say the Lakers play 3 home games in a week. The Staples Center capacity is approximately 20 000, obviously a lot of spectators will go to more than one game, but we can probably say across three games you would have 30 000 unique visitors to the arena.

I’d be willing to bet that if you tracked similarly large populations you’d see deaths pretty regularly.

There were a lot of people who performed at and participated in the Inauguration ceremony and thus it makes statistical sense that one of them would have something bad happen to them soon after.
