OT ,, (and a repeat for some)

But to lighten up the mood a little

Two VERY great moments at the Georgia Secial Olympics yesterday. I was assigned to help at the Aquatics ctr. Swimming races once across the pool and back. One kid finishes, gets out of the pool, spies his parents and family in the stands and yells out
“MOM ,,, I DIDN’T PEE IN THE POOL!”

The other. Most of the kids made it back and forth in 1:40-1;50 minutes (the lanes were set by the width of the pool, not the length)
It toom one straggler over 8 minutes. The reason was he would take 4 swimming strokes, stop, tread water and wave at EVERY person he could spy in the stands (4 sided) . When he got out I spoke to his older sister. Seems as if last year he could onlt perform 2 stokes before he had to stop and re-orient himself. he was SO proud he could now do 4 strokes!

I had a smile ear to ear as tears streamed down my face !
