Are you deathly afraid?
I wonder whether more than a tiny percentage of the population is deathly afraid of climate change?

I’m not afraid at all, because I’ll be long dead of my bad habits before LVQ’s famine scenarios unfold.

But anyone who thinks that showing people pictures of starving Africans and saying “this is what you’ll look like in a hundred years, except you’ll be dead, but if you weren’t dead you’d look like this, only white” will bring on an enlightened response has no clue about human nature.

Some will laugh and say “but I’ll be dead”. Others will worry for their great-grandchildren, but say “yeah, but I’ll be dead”. A few will write their congresscritters, a few more will turn defiantly denialist, and a few more will buy curly light bulbs.

Impact of the whole exercise? I won’t say zip, because it might actually be negative.
