re: #443 Interesting Times

There’s a person I know who I think reflects far too many “moderate” voters - he hated what the GOP did, but places more blame on the Dems for not standing up to them when it mattered. His most recent exact words on this subject were “Why didn’t Obama fight harder for Merrick Garland?”

I must confess I kind of feel the same way :/ He was far too nice and deferential to people who turned out to be monsters.

Where were all the protesters over the Garland nomination? Maybe if they had shown up then, pressure would have been too much for GOP. I think, we the people, share some of the blame. We let them get away with it.
