The whole Never Trump thing will last only up to the convention (and I suspect it’ll end right after tomorrow’s results come in showing the rest of the field is toast. Afterwards, they’ll go all-in on trying to destroy Hillary and ignore every last one of Trump’s statements (or silently smile to themselves that they got their cake and will eat it too because Trump’s brought the racism, hate speech/conduct, and conspiracy mongering into the mainstream of the GOP in a way other GOP candidates would have been unable to do).

I disagree with your take, but I may be wrong. We’ll see, but it wouldn’t surprise me if a high profile conservative Republican ends up as say the Constitution Party nominee.
