That seems like such a simple concept - that wearing a hijab is only oppression if you can’t choose not to. And not wearing it is not freedom if you can’t choose to wear it.

A simple concept, of course: except for a hackish Islamophobe like Dinesh the Dense, the even simpler one is “hijab = Muslim = Evil Terrorist” - which is about as much intellectualizing as his intended audience can deal with.
