Arizona teachers have voted to strike next week.
Governor Doug Ducey is unhappy.
I am committed to getting teachers this raise and am working to get this passed at the Legislature. We need teachers teaching, and kids learning. (2/2)

My response:
It’s not only raises, it’s the whole system that stinks. We’re not doing right by the kids because you and the GOP want to do everything on the cheap. Companies won’t come here because our schools are shortchanged. Signed, childless taxpayer who thinks “children are the future.”

If it takes a strike to get your attention, then so be it. You guys have tried to destroy public education for so long and now the chickens are coming home to roost. I support the teachers. #RedForEd

And yeah, the teachers are right not to trust Ducey. Here’s a federal ruling on a lawsuit that was going to use (sell) state trust land to fund the schools. A federal judge put a stop to that.
I am not at all opposed to paying more taxes to fund the public schools. Not the charter schools. Not the private schools. PUBLIC SCHOOLS. #RedForEd
