People seem to like Medicare all right. Somebody has to get out in front with a constant refrain:

“Medicare is single-payer Sooooocialized meeeeedicine (oogah-boogah!), just like Canada. Medicare is Canada.

The VA/Tricare is single-provider Soooooooocialized meeeeeedicine (oogah boogah!), just like the UK. The VA is the UK.

Repeat after me: Medicare is Canada. The VA is the UK. Medicare is Canada. The VA is the UK. Medicare is Canada. The VA is the UK…..”

Over and over again till it gets through the public’s thick heads.

“No one can ever get an appointment in Canada.”
“The VA doesn’t take care of our veterans. We here it all the time in the news.”
