Not likely, he is only in his 40s and the average stay in prison for 2nd degree murder in Minnesota is 12.5 years. Unless he gets consecutive sentences he will be out before 60.

The maximum sentence for 2nd degree is 40 years, and the lesser charges would probably be served concurrently. Plus time off for good behavior and time served, even in the worst case he’s going to live to see the light of day.
