This is the United States. Other than the US Army, do we have stations? The entire point of not having an aristocracy was that we are all equal.

And I don’t eat bait or what look to me like dandelion leaves. I think this is what was in that salad at the Smithsonian that I hated. Too bitter. I actually did feel like I was eating the leaves off of some of my plants. I did not like the taste.

If this makes me downity, so be it.

No, that’s all true, and I don’t mean to overstate. It’s just that being FLOTUS is a very special role, and you get treated a certain way—and Rush is quite off, imagining that somehow Michelle is not entitled to that treatment.

As for dandelion leaves, folks put those in salads too. Some people don’t like them, or arugula. Too bitter, as you say. We’re accustomed to sweeter greens. I like the bite, but I also drink coffee with no sugar.
