I hear you - Seagate’s reputation with these low-end drives isn’t very good. But at $100 for 3 TB, they’re perfect for a RAID array - lots of storage, very cheap, easily swapped out if they fail.

I got a couple to use in a RAID setup I’m putting together, we’ll see how reliable they are.
