2nd avenue is hypnotizing. All night long trucks rush down it. It’s a river, it sometimes runs slow but most of the time it’s flood season, a rush of headlights and hurtling metal past the window. I wonder what it’s going to be like when we move and no longer have the river of cars streaming past us. It’s weird what becomes ‘normal’ to you.
