The problem is IMHO, that the 1% refuses to admit that their way of life is dependent on a low-paid working class. Until very recently in history, this meant non-paid slaves.

It’s like this fact is the elephant in the living room that when talked about causes heads to spin and a big neon “denial” light to go off in brains —of those conditioned to the status quo.
